World's Big Sleep Out 2019..

Dee Chanelle & the in-Laws are always up for lending a hand to charitable causes and when an opportunity came up to support the homeless at the World's Big Sleep Out (www.bigsleepout.com) in Brighton we did not even hesitate or think twice! I recall my first office job was for Shelter- the national campaign for the homeless so naturally the cause was close to my heart.

Sussex Homeless Support organiser Jim Deans invited the band to headline the entertainment at the Hove Lagoon in Brighton on Saturday 7th December along with local artists. The in-Laws in attendance were Baby J on keys, Mama Clare on guitar and newcomer Cheeky Val on bass opening with Erasure's "A little respect", originals "Better Days" and "Diva Superstar" with a closing acoustic version of Carole King's "You've got a friend"
For one night only, ordinary members of the general public around the world slept outdoors to raise funds for charity to end the global crisis of homelessness. Brighton saw people with sleeping bags, pods and tents and suffered stormy weathers overnight but some were determined to see the night through as homeless people have no real choice in these dire situations.
